Local Quilting Machine Manufacturer Purchases Former West Jordan Target Space

The Grace Company, a local business specializing in products for quilting enthusiasts, has acquired the former Target building on Redwood Road in West Jordan City, Utah. Plans are now underway to relocate their headquarters to this 120,000 square-foot space.
Finalizing the purchase in late February 2021, The Grace Company is now using the space primarily for warehousing and shipping as they finish office build-out plans.
The company will retain ownership of its current West Valley facility and shift almost all operations to the new location when the build-out is complete. With this acquisition, the company now uses a combined 160,000 square feet of warehouse, production, and office space.
“We are thrilled to own this building and look forward to using this new space to expand what we can offer to our customers,” said Jim Bagley, founder, and owner of The Grace Company.
According to the company’s President, Jaren Gibson, the acquisition paves the way to “fulfill a long-standing desire for us to own a space where we can better serve quilters who are looking to improve their skills, learn new techniques, and gain inspiration.”
Grace Company's Education Coordinator, Karla Gerome, also sees this as a great strategic move. “At Grace Company, we love innovating, and we truly love helping customers who are enthusiastic about their hobby get the most out of our products. This new space will increase our opportunities to do so.”
The company plans to move to West Jordan in early 2022. Plans will include a 5000 square-foot classroom space and another 3000 square feet of showroom and retail store space. There are also plans to open a 3000 square-foot toy store/event center for Incredibly Interconnectable Toy, LLC, a company, also owned by Mr. Bagley.
